This new device is called the Femtojack and it is suppose to provide you unlimited cell phone minutes by turning your cell phone into a VoIP phone while you are at home. Apparently it using some sort of new technology called ‘femtocell’ and creates its own independent cell base station.

This product is suppose to be available in the near future and it is offered by the makers of the extremely popular magicJack. It appears as though the makers of the magicJack are basically making a new magicJack with it’s own cell tower. The magicJack is a USB VoIP device that allows users to get unlimited minutes through their regular phone by hooking their magicJack into a computer USB and then attaching a regular phone to the other end. The Femtojack appears to be exactly the same except that it works with a cell phone.
